In this issue, we share our conversation with Professor Şaban Kardaş. He is a Research Professor and Programme Coordinator at the Gulf Studies Center at Qatar University. His research focuses on Turkish foreign and domestic policy, Gulf and Middle East security, energy policy, and international relations. He has published extensively on regional security and geopolitical affairs through books, articles, and book chapters, and has contributed commentary to international media. He previously taught at several leading Turkish institutions, including the Diplomacy Academy, Sakarya University, the Police Academy, the Military Academy, and TOBB University of Economics and Technology. Professor Kardaş holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Utah, an MA in International Relations from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, and an MA in European Studies from the Center for European Integration Studies in Bonn, Germany.
